I have led rapidly growing companies, found the best talent and retaining them in this distributed environment. I have learned that the sales model is ever-changing and have been able to plug in to several ecosystems. The factors that I feel will contribute most to the growth of document management platforms are in-depth vertical solutions, management of complex date types, big data, AI/ML, which will give insights never seen before. We are still seeing exponential growth of content. Other factors are new markets such as crypto exchanges, international footprint, and potential acquisitions, down the road. Also, with the explosion in content, social media, YouTube etc; there is increased need for cybersecurity and privacy – who can see what when, that is paramount. AI/ML Big data, providing predictive and prescriptive analysis has many opportunities in this space, and provides insights for clients and the corporations that provide services to them. This allows for monitoring not just a client’s portfolio but providing instant tax and legal implications. Sales and marketing are changing rapidly. The old enterprise salesperson is becoming obsolete. Product lead growth (i.e., Wes Bush) is gaining ground, and executives are looking for consumer type sales. “Click Try Buy” etc. must plug and play with legacy systems.
