Founded by ex-Amazon leadership, MarketLeap delivers a full-service platform to help brands solve operational complexity and diversify their marketplace presence

MarketLeap.ai, the AI-powered ecommerce platform and marketplace accelerator, announced a full-scale expansion of its U.S. operations to help consumer brands automate and expand their sales across global marketplaces. Built around agentic, AI-driven commerce, the platform operates as the seller of record on the brand’s behalf, handling compliance, logistics, advertising, customer experience, aftersales and inventory management.

With its expanded U.S. operation, MarketLeap seeks to court the growing number of U.S. consumer brands pursuing European marketplace expansion, as well as those looking to diversify outside of Amazon and into marketplaces such as Walmart, eBay and TikTok Shop.

“Retailers based in the U.S. are eager to reach new audiences. Between tariffs and the rise of agentic commerce, having a diverse, global marketplace strategy has become essential to remaining competitive,” said Mamoun Benkirane, CEO and co-founder of MarketLeap. “We provide brand owners with a foundation for resilience, taking on the hard parts of marketplace growth so they can focus on building great products and driving demand with new audiences. Our partners don’t just break into new markets – they become best sellers.”

Founded by Mamoun Benkirane and co-founder Mekki Mouaddeb, MarketLeap first launched in mainland Europe in 2022. In 2025, the company raised a Series A led by Smedvig Ventures, with participation from angel investors including former executives from Amazon, SoftBank, Unilever and Notion Capital. MarketLeap combines marketplace expertise, AI-powered operations and flexible commercial models to help brands scale internationally with less operational work. The platform works on a wholesale model, giving brands predictable cash flow without taking on marketplace operating risk.

“We are obsessed with our customers. Not only do we make things as simple and efficient as possible for them, but we tailor each version of our ecommerce enablement solution in line with their unique goals,” said Mouaddeb. “Whether they’re building from the ground up or expanding their existing multi-marketplace strategy, we clear the obstacles to give them a straight shot to growth.”

In Europe, MarketLeap’s end-to-end marketplace management has helped dozens of consumer brands scale into the U.S. and other key global markets. Monkey Hands, a sports products brand specializing in grip agents, saw triple-digit percentage sales growth within six months using MarketLeap, becoming the best-selling product in its category on Amazon while building a strong base of repeat customers.

“MarketLeap helped us build our Amazon U.S. business from the ground up. In just three years, we’ve grown triple digits, while having a team we can trust to manage our marketplace operations,” said Daniele de Paolis, co-founder of Monkey Hands. “That has allowed us to focus our time on growing our Shopify business and expanding our B2B partnerships, instead of getting caught up in the day-to-day management of Amazon.”

Core to MarketLeap’s overall growth strategy is an emphasis on preparing brands for agentic commerce. The platform delivers real-time insights, storefront optimization and strategic pricing that help brands cater their marketplace presence to the factors that AI shopping assistants prioritize. Earlier this year, the company released its 2026 Agentic Commerce Report, to help brand founders and executives shape their AI adoption strategy for ecommerce operations.

“It’s incredibly rewarding to finally do for ourselves what we’ve spent years helping other retailers achieve: expanding our presence in a new market marks a major milestone for our own growth,” added Benkirane. “We believe the next generation of ecommerce leaders will be built on global marketplaces and AI-powered operations. Our expansion into the U.S. is an important step toward making that vision a reality.”
