Vecima Networks Inc. announced executive leadership appointments designed to support the company’s next phase of growth across broadband access, video, and software-driven network solutions. The appointments strengthen Vecima’s leadership structure as operators accelerate the transition to AI-enabled, software-driven architectures and look for trusted partners to simplify operations, speed innovation, and deliver reliable, high-performance connectivity.

Effective immediately, Mr. Clay McCreery has been elevated from Chief Operating Officer to President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Sumit Kumar continues as Vecima’s Chief Executive Officer, focused on the company’s strategy, performance, and long-term growth.

In addition, Mr. Ryan Nicometo has been appointed Chief Product Officer, a newly created role designed to unify product strategy and execution across Vecima’s broadband access, content delivery, software, and analytics platforms. The role reflects the growing breadth of Vecima’s portfolio and the company’s expanding investment in software and analytics capabilities, including its Entra Intelligence initiative.

Mr. McCreery has served as Vecima’s Chief Operating Officer since 2020. He previously served as Chief Revenue Officer for Vecima, following Vecima’s acquisition of Concurrent in 2018, managing operations of the company’s Content Delivery & Storage business unit. Earlier in his career, he was Senior Vice President of Sales, North America, at ARRIS, where he helped integrate key acquisitions and supported market share growth in access technologies, DOCSIS® services, and content delivery.

During his tenure at Vecima, Mr. McCreery has overseen major strategic acquisitions, including the Nokia Cable Business and Falcon V Systems, helping position Vecima as a leader in fiber access, automation, and next-generation broadband solutions. Over the same period, Vecima has more than tripled total company revenue and grown to more than 600 employees globally.

“Clay’s appointment as President recognizes nearly a decade of exceptional performance and leadership,” said Mr. Sumit Kumar, Vecima Chief Executive Officer. “He has earned the confidence of our Board, senior management team, customers, and employees. In this expanded role, Clay will help lead Vecima into its next phase of growth, building on our strong foundation in broadband access and content delivery while continuing to execute with discipline, precision, and care for our customers.”

“I am honored to take on this expanded leadership role at such an important time for Vecima and our industry,” said Mr. McCreery. “Vecima stands apart because of its people, their innovation, and their commitment to helping customers around the world build better networks. I look forward to working with Sumit, Ryan, and the entire Vecima team as we continue this next chapter of growth.”

Mr. Nicometo most recently served as Vecima’s Senior Vice President and General Manager of Video and Broadband Solutions, overseeing product management, research and development, program management, manufacturing engineering, and supply chain operations. A 25-year veteran of the broadband service provider industry, Mr. Nicometo previously held senior leadership roles at ARRIS and Concurrent, spanning product management, engineering, and commercial strategy across access technologies, video delivery, and content distribution platforms. His experience integrating acquired technologies and aligning product portfolios across business units is central to the mandate of the newly created CPO role.

“Ryan brings deep product expertise, customer focus, and a proven track record of innovation to this expanded role,” said Mr. McCreery. “He has helped shape solutions designed for reliability, simplicity, and flexibility, and I am excited for him to bring that same product leadership across Vecima’s broader portfolio.”

“Vecima has built a unique portfolio spanning access hardware, cloud software, video delivery, and analytics, all backed by a team and customer relationships that are hard to replicate,” said Mr. Nicometo. “As CPO, my focus is on making sure that breadth translates into real value for our customers: simpler operations, faster deployments, and a platform they can grow with. I’m excited to work alongside Clay, Sumit, and the broader Vecima team to make that happen.”
