The product leader who helped scale Datadog from early-stage startup through IPO brings deep product expertise to Vercel’s board
Vercel, the agentic infrastructure company, announced the appointment of Amit Agarwal, former president of Datadog and founder and CEO of Standard Template Labs, an AI-first service management platform, to its board of directors. Agarwal brings 25 years of enterprise software experience and a track record of scaling a product-led company from its earliest days into one of the defining public software companies of the cloud era.

Agarwal joined Datadog in 2012 as its Chief Product Officer and was named President in 2022, overseeing product, corporate development, and go-to-market functions as the company grew past $2.5 billion in annual revenue. Across 13 years, including Datadog’s 2019 IPO and its first years as a public company, Agarwal helped build one of the industry’s most studied examples of product-led growth at enterprise scale. He continues to serve on Datadog’s board of directors.

Agarwal joins during a period of rapid growth for Vercel, which has transformed from the platform of choice for frontend developers into full-stack agentic infrastructure used by startups and global enterprises alike. Fueled by surging Vercel Pro sign-ups and accelerating enterprise adoption of its Agent Stack, the company crossed $500 million in annualized run-rate revenue in early July, reflecting the company’s unique role as a platform where humans and agents build together.

Agarwal joins a distinguished group of independent board members supporting Vercel’s mission to free the world to ship with the speed, security, and scalability required to win with AI, including Mitchell Hashimoto, co-founder of HashiCorp and creator of Terraform; Susan St. Ledger, former President of Worldwide Field Operations at HashiCorp; and Steffan Tomlinson, CFO of Stripe.
