Shopsense AI Names Alan Lewis Chief Product Officer, Elevates Founding-Team Members to CTO and Principal Scientist

FlexOffers Names Dipak Joshi as CEO to Lead Partner Marketing Growth

Drawing on veterans of Amazon’s commerce and advertising platforms, the leadership moves advance the shoppable intelligence roadmap CEO Bryan Quinn outlined

Shopsense AI, the AI platform powering the next generation of shoppable experiences, today tapped Alan Lewis as Chief Product Officer and promoted two members of its founding team: Sam Gottlieb to Chief Technology Officer and Dharmil Chandarana to become the company’s first Principal Scientist. The appointments build out the leadership team behind the strategy CEO Bryan Quinn recently laid out: turning Shopsense into the shoppable intelligence layer for tomorrow’s commerce experiences.

Quinn, who became CEO in May, says the next phase of the business opens up API-level integrations, anchored to the company’s Shoppable Intelligence Model (SIM). Today’s moves put the product, engineering, and applied science leadership in place to deliver it.
“Alan brings more than two decades of product leadership building large-scale commerce, advertising, and enterprise platforms,” said Bryan Quinn, CEO of Shopsense AI. “I had the chance to work with him at Amazon, where he led Amazon Marketing Cloud, one of Amazon Ads’ flagship enterprise platforms. As we expand SIM, his experience building enterprise platforms and partnering closely with customers makes him an outstanding leader for our next phase of growth.”

The leadership team brings together two decades of experience across ecommerce, advertising technology, and retail media. Quinn, Lewis, and Chandarana each spent time at Amazon, where Quinn led Amazon Publisher Services, but the team’s range extends well beyond it, spanning global marketplaces, enterprise software, and consumer data and machine learning platforms. Together, they’re creating the foundation for the next generation of commerce.

Alan Lewis, Chief Product Officer
As the owner of Shopsense’s product vision and roadmap, Lewis translates customer needs and market signals into a prioritized strategy. At Amazon, he was on the founding team of Amazon Marketing Cloud and grew it into the largest and most used data clean room in the industry. Earlier in his career he held senior product roles at eBay, Alibaba, and Realtor.com.

“I’ve been following Shopsense for years, ever since hearing about their launch at CES in 2024,” said Lewis. “I’m amazed at how much the team has built since then, the traction they have with customers, and at the potential to build incredible shopping experiences.”

Sam Gottlieb, Chief Technology Officer
Gottlieb becomes Shopsense’s Chief Technology Officer, leading the combined Engineering and Science organization that builds and operates SIM. He joined as the company’s founding engineer and has shaped the platform from its earliest code, rising to Vice President of Engineering before this appointment. Earlier this year he stepped onto the executive team and took direct leadership of Engineering and Science, broadening his remit from the technology itself to the company’s wider strategy. The CTO role formalizes that scope as Shopsense scales the platform for its next phase.

“Sam started with Shopsense as our founding engineer and has had a tremendous impact on our technology since day one,” said Quinn. “He built the engineering foundation the platform runs on, then grew into leading the entire engineering and science organization. Naming our CTO from within, from the person who has been here since the first line of code, says everything about how we intend to scale.”

Dharmil Chandarana, Principal Scientist
Chandarana, also from the founding team, becomes Shopsense’s first Principal Scientist, with responsibility over the technical direction, implementation, and ongoing management of SIM. Before Shopsense, he was an applied scientist at Amazon, where he worked on computer vision for the Amazon Photos science team. He’s adept at both the applied science behind high-performing models and the engineering required to run those models at scale.

“Dharmil approaches every problem from two angles at once: the best way to solve it, and the most efficient way to build on it afterward,” said Quinn. “He ships models that perform in evaluation and that the team can still extend a year later. The Shoppable Intelligence Models are the foundation of everything we do, and establishing principal-level technical ownership of them enables us to move faster as we scale the number of retailers and customers on the platform.”
