Icertis Bolsters Leadership Team for Future as Definitive Platform for Enterprise Contract Intelligence

New Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer to Drive Next Phase of Growth for Category Leader

Icertis, the global leader in AI-powered contract intelligence, has appointed Anand Subbaraman as Chief Operating Officer and Jay Lee as Chief Marketing Officer. Proven leaders in their fields, these technology industry experts will build on the momentum that Icertis has experienced over the last several years as it delivers powerful results that enable customers to grow revenue, cut costs, mitigate risk, and ensure compliance.

Contracts serve as the single source of truth for business relationships, documenting the obligations and entitlements with customers and suppliers that underpin every enterprise. The Icertis platform liberates contracts from digital filing cabinets, turning them into active assets to drive business execution. By extracting the critical information contained in contracts, structuring it according to a common data model, and connecting it seamlessly with operational systems that power finance, sales, and procurement, Icertis helps ensure customers realize the full potential of every business relationship.

“Contracts are more than static documents to be managed through a lifecycle – creation, negotiation, signature, expiry/renewal – contracts are the blueprint of how a business intends to execute. By transforming contracts into active objects that are referenced in real-time by the systems that manage finance, sales, and procurement, Icertis created a new category of software – contract intelligence,” said Samir Bodas, CEO and Co-founder of Icertis. “Now trusted by a third of the Fortune 100, Icertis is entering a new phase that calls for strong leaders, like Anand and Jay, with the experience necessary to ensure we execute to our full potential as we gain market share and extend our leadership position by transforming commerce at the world’s largest enterprises.”

A 25-year software veteran, Anand Subbaraman joins Icertis from BrowserStack, where, as President, he was responsible for strategy, product management, operations, and marketing. He also previously held leadership roles at Finastra and Oracle. As Chief Operating Officer, Subbaraman is responsible for product management, product engineering, and customer operations, including consulting, partner services, customer support, and customer success.

“Operational excellence is critical as Icertis enters an exciting new phase of growth, and I’m thrilled to embark on this journey to help propel the company further,” said Anand Subbaraman, Chief Operations Officer, Icertis. “The Icertis platform has experienced tremendous success and growth over the years, consistently enabling our customers to achieve measurable outcomes with our solutions. As we continue to scale, my priorities are to transform our product platform with GenAI, create a frictionless customer consumption experience, increase adoption of our solutions, and drive more value for our customers.”

A seasoned marketing executive, Jay Lee joins Icertis from Avalara, where, as Chief Marketing Officer, he helped the business grow at rates of over 30 percent year over year. Prior to Avalara, Lee held leadership roles at GE Capital, American Express, and PayPal.

“Icertis has the unique opportunity and responsibility to break through the GenAI hype by enlightening enterprise leaders to the real business value that can be achieved with AI and contract intelligence. The world is looking for real examples of how AI solutions will drive bottom-line performance in tomorrow’s economy, and there is no better place to see GenAI in action than in the Icertis platform,” said Jay Lee, Chief Marketing Officer, Icertis. “Icertis is breaking new ground in the way critical contract information is extracted and structured into actionable metadata and connecting it seamlessly with core operational systems to be leveraged across the enterprise. By amplifying the visibility and recognition that Icertis has established, we will shape the c-suite’s perspective on the transformative potential of their contracts.”
