“As the internet becomes increasingly fragmented, brands, publishers, and influencers need a solution to streamline their content sharing and connect their social media followers to their entire online ecosystem, ultimately increasing brand awareness and revenue. Linktree has successfully created this new “microsite”

The funding will accelerate Linktree’s expansion in international markets, including global team growth, and the evolution of Linktree’s product and functionality in new ways to deliver valuable user experiences.

Linktree allows anyone from big brands to solopreneurs, celebrities to everyday content creators to build a microsite that houses their digital ecosystem, making it easier than ever to connect with their audiences wherever they are. In the same way Shopify and Stripe simplify the internet economy for eCommerce and enable other businesses to make revenue easily, Linktree does the same for creators, artists, businesses, and everyone in between.

Linktree has achieved widespread adoption and exponential growth since launching in 2016, exceeding 8 million global users, 28,000+ sign-ups per day, and over half a billion visitors to Linktrees in September alone.

Linktree users span the spectrum — from brands like Red Bull and HBO, to celebrities like Selena Gomez and Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the solopreneurs and small business owners shaping today’s world of work. Linktree has been bootstrapped and profitable from day one, focusing on product-led growth and word of mouth virality.

Alex Zaccaria, co-founder and CEO, Linktree, said: “From the beginning we’ve been focused on creating a company cut from a different cloth. We’ve been bootstrapped and profitable from day one, and have achieved a lot in four years with a lean, Melbourne-based team. I am incredibly proud to announce this raise alongside our incredible investor partners, and to leverage their expertise to create something truly unique in the tech sector.”

Jeff Lieberman, Managing Director at Insight Partners, said: “As the internet becomes increasingly fragmented, brands, publishers, and influencers need a solution to streamline their content sharing and connect their social media followers to their entire online ecosystem, ultimately increasing brand awareness and revenue. Linktree has successfully created this new “microsite” category enabling companies to monetize the next generation of the internet economy via a single interactive hub. The impressive traction and growing number of customers Linktree has gained over the last few months demonstrates its proven market fit, and we could not be more excited to work with the Linktree team as they transition to the ScaleUp phase of growth.”

John Henderson, General Partner at AirTree Ventures, said: “Linktree is the future of social commerce. The product’s elegant simplicity conceals an extraordinary vision to empower creators to seamlessly engage with their fans and monetize their content without friction or middlemen. Linktree’s growth to date has been nothing short of extraordinary — if you’re on a social network, you literally can’t miss it. We are delighted to be partnering with Alex, Anthony, and Nick as Linktree becomes the online front page for creators the world over.”
