“Randi and the Zuckerberg Media team are passionate, strategic investors in this space, and their network and experience align perfectly with our goal of building an industry-wide solution for the problems in ticketing,” said Matt Zarracina, CEO of True Tickets. “She has a proven track record of success in tech and entertainment and will be an invaluable advisor to our company. Randi will help us extend our reach to deliver secure contactless digital ticketing across theaters, sports, music, and other live events.”
True Tickets is built on Hyperledger Fabric and runs on the IBM blockchain. It quickly and seamlessly integrates with live events venues’ existing ticketing systems, giving venues more control and visibility over their tickets. With True Tickets’ secure contactless digital ticketing, venues can provide a safe and contactless ticketing experience while better managing secondary markets, eliminating fraud, and better understanding who uses each ticket—not just who purchased it. Part of the Broadway Tech Accelerator’s first class, True Tickets recently launched its production service for a major ticketing system with plans in process to expand with other theaters and ticketing systems on Broadway and across the country.
“With so many careers dependent on the reopening of live theater,” Randi continued, “True Tickets shares my mission of bringing live theater back in and through new technology.”
