New reporting and analytics products from Spiff help #finance and #sales teams make data-driven decisions on #commissions.

Together, Spiff Analytics, Custom Report Builder, Summary Reports and Benchmarking provide seamless workflows and time savings, putting transparency and trust back into the commissions process.

“Commissions for enterprise businesses have become very complicated, often featuring hundreds of different structures based on geographies, teams, and other variables. With that complexity, the commissions process has grown to be, at best, wearisome for the sales and finance teams managing them or, at worst, a cause of animosity between the two groups,” Jeron Paul, CEO, Spiff said. “Spiff aims to eliminate that tension and, in delivering these new products – just the first in a series of new reporting products we are announcing this quarter – we are providing finance and sales teams with reporting that really enables them to go deeper into their data, helping to rebuild the trust between the two teams.”

Spiff is a new breed of software and a spreadsheet replacement for forward thinking businesses looking for a low-code/no-code commissions solution that can grow with enterprises. This year, the company has announced $46 million Series B funding and claimed top placements in five summer sales compensation reports from G2.com, the largest software marketplace and review platform.

“Spiff is simply malleable from implementation to data articulations and can accommodate even the most complex of commission structures,” Brian Orr, vice president finance and corporate controller, Greenix, said. “I love what it is, and excited to see what is to come.”

Spiff Analytics makes it easier to understand commission data in real-time

With Spiff Analytics, customers can Identify key commissions metrics and reports they want pushed to their business intelligence platform or use the reports directly in Spiff. Additionally, they can visualize data and create dashboards with the information they want to see most. Users are also able to automate the reporting and schedule reports to be sent to others.

The product also enables custom calculations. Companies frequently have to manipulate data to create new calculations for data analysis and reporting purposes. For companies that are not using a business intelligence platform for commissions, the custom calculation function empowers users to do complex intelligence functions right in the Spiff platform and share the data across plans and tables.

In addition to custom calculations, Spiff Analytics allows for custom dimensions, which allow customers to view their data through dimensions previously unavailable.

Customize reports to get transparency into the data needed to drive decisions

Custom Report Builder enables administrators and finance users to build their own simplified, custom, and exportable datasheets from data that lives within Spiff. This functionality is ideal for creating simple reports to understand sums, averages, and attainment for a table of records and pulling data into a spreadsheet to do simple analytics.

Custom Reports allows maximum customization and ultimately gives users more control over what data comes out of Spiff in an export. In addition to choosing which fields are included in the export, Custom Reports gives users the option to save a report for future reference, filter a report to just include a particular plan or team, include a range of periods, and preview the report before exporting.

In addition to the new Spiff Analytics and Customer Report Builder products, Spiff also made significant enhancements to its Summary Reports and Benchmarking functionality.

Summary Reports provides deeper analysis and digestible visualizations

Summary Reports give leadership the ability to track team performance through performance graphs and charts. This is key to coaching sales teams on how far they are from accelerators and quota attainment on compensation.

With the new functionality, sales managers now can run visualizations, such as leaderboards, that compare commissions metrics of their team members via the Summary Report functionality. These reports are easily exported to share or save for reference. Report options for summary report visualizations include, Total By Rep, Commission Leaderboard, and Rep Average by Plan.

Enhanced Benchmarking enables organization to identify how their organizations stack up

Within Benchmarking, users can run visualizations that compare their company metrics to other companies anonymously. This allows organizations to analyze how similarly sized companies or similar roles stack against their team’s performance or easily compare plan complexity versus other companies’ plans. These reports are easily exported to share or save for references.

All products are available now. Contact Spiff for more information.
