Quality driven German manufacturer, ABUS offers a wide range of advanced security solutions in the areas of home security, mobile security and commercial security. The company’s IT landscape was fragmented across multiple systems and vendors. As the company grew and was challenged to meet the growing demands of its residential and commercial customers, the company made the decision to harmonize its systems’ footprint across geographies.
IFS Cloud will consolidate all systems into one platform and deliver a fully integrated set manufacturing capabilities that include production, maintenance, purchasing, logistics, sales, HR and financial accounting. Bringing the business under one software vendor and solution will also provide the increased cross functional and performance visibility required by executives to drive ABUS’ growth plans. IFS Cloud will also provide industry specific lobbies, enabling ABUS to standardize its business processes across the entire organization with a manufacturing specific interface.
In choosing IFS as its partner, the company opted for comprehensive and complete visibility into their value chain and the ability to have their business work off of a single data model. The IFS roll out will cover the German facility as well subsidiaries in 12 countries breaking down system and functional silos. The system will future-proof ABUS, with a six-monthly release cadence that can be planned at their own pace.
