Jim Routh Joins BigID as New Strategic Advisor

Veteran security executive will lend expertise in security innovation to accelerate BigID’s data protection offerings and initiatives

BigID, the leader in data discovery and intelligence for privacy, protection and perspective, today announced Jim Routh as a new strategic advisor. With over 30 years of experience, he brings a deep expertise in cybersecurity and risk management from previous senior leadership roles at Fortune 1000 companies, including MassMutual, CVS, Aetna, KPMG, DTCC and American Express. As Chief Information Security Officer at MassMutual, he also established its data protection program, which is currently using BigID for its critical data protection capabilities.

As an advisor, Jim will provide strategic guidance to BigID’s leadership team and advise on cybersecurity and data protection product innovation. Widely recognized in the cybersecurity sphere as “the CISO for CISOs,” Jim is known for his unwavering commitment to sharing information and applying innovation to cybersecurity control implementation for enterprises. He has won numerous industry awards as a cybersecurity luminary, including the Security Alliance Award for Innovation and the ISE Luminary Leadership Award.
