Outreach Hires Mike Mooney as Chief Revenue Officer as Fast-Growing Startup Looks to Continue Triple Digital Growth
Former CRO at Imperva and SVP at HP has Led, Built & Scaled Enterprise Sales Operations for Over 25 Years
Outreach, the leading sales engagement platform, has hired industry veteran Mike Mooney as the company’s Chief Revenue Officer. Mooney will lead all revenue for the company and oversee all customer-facing organizations — including sales, marketing, customer success, solutions consultants, support and professional services — for the fast-growing, industry-leading company that has changed the way sales organizations sell and has been recognized by Forbes as one of its “Next Billion Dollar Startups.”
Mooney, who most recently worked at Centrify as the Chief Revenue Officer before the company was acquired by private equity firm Thoma Bravo, has spent more than 25 years leading, building and scaling high-performing enterprise sales operations, helping them increase revenue efficiency and drive growth. As the Chief Revenue Officer at Centrify, he led global sales and field service operations — including enterprise sales, channel sales, inside sales, systems engineering, customer care and support, professional services, sales operations, business and corporate development.

“We need a world-class Chief Revenue Officer who can help Outreach enter its next stage of growth as we continue shaking up an entire industry. Mike is perfect for the job,” said Outreach CEO Manny Medina. “Throughout his career, he has driven revenue and helped scale high-performing companies, and we’re happy to have him aboard.”
Before working at Centrify, Mooney joined Imperva in 2014 as CRO, where he oversaw worldwide and regional sales — including all field, channel and inside sales — with a team of approximately 450 employees. In addition, he ran business development, nearly doubling revenue from $164 million to $320 million when he departed.

During his time at the company, he and his teams helped double its revenue and company value. He has also held senior positions at HP, Autonomy and Verity. Mooney was responsible for Information Analytics and Big Data revenue, as well as for OEM and Federal revenue across all Autonomy divisions. Other responsibilities during his time with HP Autonomy included leading strategic sales initiatives focused on the company’s next-generation information platform (IDOL); driving worldwide Data Protection sales; and leading the Americas revenue, sales and channel organizations.
“Outreach is one of the most exciting and promising companies in the world, and has already transformed an entire industry in just five years. But this is only the beginning,” Mooney said. “I’m looking forward to working side by side with the visionary leadership at Outreach.”
