Yottaa Introduces Conversion Zone to Help Brands Maximize Online Revenue Through Fast Page Loads

New Solution Enables Online Retailers To Quickly Determine The Site Speed Range Where Shoppers Are Most Converting

Yottaa, Inc., the leading cloud platform for accelerating eCommerce, introduced Conversion Zone, a new solution for identifying eCommerce site speeds that convert best.

The recently published “2022 eCommerce Executive Key Initiatives Survey Report” identified online revenue growth as the top priority for eCommerce leaders in 2022. One way online brands can quickly achieve this growth is through faster page loads as the correlation between fast site speed and higher eCommerce conversions has been well documented. For example, data from the 2022 Site Speed Standard has shown that shaving just one second off of page load time results in a 5.6-5.9% conversion lift (depending on device type).

While the industry page load standard for increasing conversion is typically less than 3 seconds, not every site is the same. Depending on the site, technical and business stakeholders can influence areas that impact site speed and the online shopping experience.

Examples include:

  • eCommerce site platform and architecture
  • Use of video and images
  • Number of 3rd party technologies on the site (for analytics, marketing, or shopper experience)
  • Unoptimized JavaScript executing on every page

With the introduction of Conversion Zone, Yottaa enables retailers to discover the site speed where shoppers convert most. This enables brands to optimize their sites to ensure pages are loading in the “Conversion Zone” resulting in higher online revenue, as well as superior shopper experiences.

Conversion Zone Methodology
Conversion Zone identifies the page load time range (using the onload metric) where the majority of conversions take place (at least 60%), and the cumulative conversion rate is highest. Cumulative conversion rate is calculated by taking all of the conversions in a time range and dividing it by all the sessions in the same time range (e.g. 50 conversion in 1000 sessions from 0 – 4 seconds = 10% cumulative conversion rate). This method identifies the best converting site speed while accounting for significant volume for any eCommerce site.

“While increasing online revenue is a top priority for eCommerce executives, many are struggling to make this a reality,” said Rich Stendardo, CEO of Yottaa. “Yottaa’s new Conversion Zone solution provides online brands with a customized, powerful tool to determine the exact page load time periods that result in the highest conversions so they can get more value from all of their eCommerce investments.”
