Former Optum Executive Nicole Kent Joins Varicent as Senior Vice President of Product Strategy
Varicent, the leading provider of next-generation Sales Performance Management (SPM) software, today announced that Nicole Kent will join the company as its Senior Vice President of Product Strategy. Nicole, who was a Varicent client while working at Optum where she served as VP of Compensation, brings with her a wide range of pertinent industry experience, knowledge, and expertise to help fortify Varicent’s growing leadership team.

Led by CEO Marc Altshuller, Varicent is an SPM software provider, helping organizations worldwide drive growth and achieve maximum ROI for go-to-market strategies. In this role, Nicole will work closely with Varicent’s product and customer-facing teams to complement their work in delivering cutting-edge capabilities across sales Planning, revenue Operations and variable Pay programs (POP). Nicole brings more than 20 years of experience as an accomplished organizational leader with significant operations, sales, merger and acquisition, and global human capital generalist expertise.

While at Optum, Nicole led a team of more than 20 compensation professionals in support of over 150,000 employees and 30,000 managers through compensation planning—including base salary, bonus, sales and quarterly variable incentives and equity awards, with a strong focus on aligning rewards with performance.
Most recently Nicole served as SVP of Revenue and Operations at Datica, a digital health company focused on health IT’s most difficult challenges in interoperability and cloud compliance. Her extensive experience across all facets of sales performance management—as well as having been a long-time customer of Varicent during her time at Optum—will give Nicole a unique edge in her new role.
