Decisive Technologies And BriteSky Technologies Announce Mitchell Carkner As New Chief Executive Officer

Decisive Technologies Inc., a provider of custom Enterprise IT Infrastructure solutions, and BriteSky Technologies Inc., a Canadian provider of secure cloud and cybersecurity solutions, are pleased to announce that effective November 2, 2020, Mitchell Carkner has been appointed chief executive officer of both companies.

Mitchell has a wealth of experience in the application of IT infrastructure and cloud networking technologies for enterprises operating in Canada, the United States, and international markets. He is an experienced technology strategist with insights in how businesses can best harness the power of IT infrastructure and cloud technologies to achieve business objectives and compete effectively.
Most recently, Mitchell worked as senior executive advisor at Amazon Web Services where he partnered with client executive teams to develop approaches and strategies for the adoption of new technologies and platforms based on industry best practices. Before joining Amazon Web Services, Mitchell held a number of senior leadership roles at IBM Global Business Services, including service line leader, practice leader, Canadian SAP public sector business development leader, and associate partner. During his time at IBM he was team lead on several high-profile digital transformation projects across Canada, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

In his new role as CEO of Decisive Technologies and BriteSky Technologies, Mitchell will be responsible for guiding both companies through the next phase of development and growth. Mike Smith, president of Decisive Technologies Inc., and Joey Harrison, president of BriteSky Technologies Inc., will both continue in critical leadership roles within the company. Richard Losier will continue in his current position as executive vice president of engineering and technology at both companies.
