Before joining Trax, Turovsky spent a cumulative 10 years at Google, most recently as director of product for Google AI, overseeing product and design organizations with a focus on applying AI across Natural Language Understanding and Computer Vision, to deliver cutting edge digital experiences to billions of Google users. Prior to that, Barak served as head of product for Google’s mobile commerce team where he spearheaded, developed, and launched Google Pay (formerly Google Wallet).

“I am eager to kick off my tenure with Trax, especially at such a pivotal moment for the retail industry,” said Turovsky. “AI is revolutionizing many areas of our lives, and retail is going through enormous disruption as physical, online and mobile experiences are blending at an incredible pace. Leveraging AI to help retailers and brands create a seamless real-time experience for shoppers is a very exciting challenge. I am looking forward to working on similar, massive scale problems to benefit billions of people, as I did at Google.”

Prior to joining Google in 2011, Turovsky was director of product for Microsoft’s Mobile Advertising, head of mobile commerce at PayPal and chief technical officer of an Israeli start-up. Barak is fluent in three languages having lived in three countries, Russia, Israel, and the U.S.
