ShipBob Appoints New Leadership Hire Kamal Sundar as Sr. Vice President of Supply Chain Strategy

ShipBob continues to drive innovation with Sundar heading up supply chain and cross-functional strategies to drive customization at scale

ShipBob, the leading global omnifulfillment platform, announced the appointment of Kamal Sundar to Sr. Vice President of Supply Chain Strategy. This strategic appointment comes at a critical time in the industry, as supply chain issues are at the forefront, and Kamal’s wealth of knowledge as a supply chain strategist will have an immediate impact on ShipBob’s ability to continue providing best-in-class omnichannel logistics. The new leadership position has been created to strengthen several key functions for the ShipBob supply chain, including business-to-business (B2B), transportation (middle-mile, carrier networks and performance), inventory placement, continuous improvement and many other functions crucial to ShipBob’s supply chain strategy.

Kamal’s experience leading supply chain organizations for 25 years, with a focus on building competitive capabilities and rapidly scaling them to enable growth, makes him a valuable asset to ShipBob. His innovative approach has led to progressively increasing leadership roles at IBM, Ernst & Young and Amazon. Most recently at Amazon, he led a global organization that utilized near real-time customer data to drive supply chain improvements. Prior to this, Kamal led the development of supply chain capabilities to enable business-to-business growth on the Amazon platform.

Kamal has an Industrial Engineering degree from Texas A&M University, Mechanical Engineering degree from PSG College of Technology in India and executive education from MIT.
