Okta is proud to announce that seasoned social impact leader Shameek Bose has been named the new Vice President of Global Impact and will oversee Okta for Good. Bose will lead Okta’s global social impact and sustainability initiatives, joining the company to further its commitment to securing the nonprofit sector and the communities it serves.
Established by Okta’s co-founders Todd McKinnon and Frederic Kerrest, Okta for Good has been a core part of Okta’s culture and values from the very beginning. Chief of Staff to the COO and former Okta for Good leader Erin Baudo Felter grew the organization into a leading practice of integrated corporate impact that drives societal value via its products, philanthropy, people, and commitment to sustainability and responsible technology.
Okta for Good’s mission, “to build a more secure world where everyone can belong and thrive,” is more important now than ever, especially in the age of agentic AI. Bose will help steer the organization into its next chapter.

In Bose’s own words:
“Okta secures the digital world; for enterprises, governments, and some of the most trusted institutions on the planet. But what drew me here is a question I think the industry hasn’t fully answered yet: What does that commitment mean for everyday people?”
“We’re already protecting thousands of nonprofits, hospitals, and educational institutions around the world. That foundation is powerful, and it’s just the beginning. As Okta steps into the era of agentic AI, I believe our most important work is ahead, ensuring that the people on the margins are protected as autonomous agents reshape the world around them.”
