FreeWheel, the leading global technology platform for the streaming advertising ecosystem, announced the appointment of Don Amboyer as General Manager (GM) of Strata, the company’s media management software. Amboyer will head Strata’s operations, revenue, strategy and product roadmap, reporting directly to FreeWheel General Manager Mark McKee.
By appointing a GM and establishing Strata as a dedicated platform organization, FreeWheel is deepening its commitment to brands, agencies and media sellers that rely on the software. Over the past year, Strata has introduced several significant enhancements, including OneStrata Digital, integrations with top media and measurement partners, and the launch of a Customer Success team designed to strengthen support, responsiveness, and partnership with agencies. As it enters this next chapter, Strata will continue to operate as a complementary media management solution within the broader FreeWheel portfolio.
Amboyer, previously Senior Vice President (SVP) Media, Transformation and Experience at Comcast Advertising, brings deep experience in operational excellence, organizational performance and go-to-market execution in the advertising space. His previous role at Operative also provides direct industry and product insight that will support Strata’s continued evolution, including the momentum generated by the launch of OneStrata.
