A leader in data collection and workflow automation appoints Aled Miles, seasoned SaaS executive and board member, as Chief Executive Officer after a global search

Formstack, a PSG and Silversmith backed software-as-a-service (SaaS) company that provides a versatile, no-code suite to create and orchestrate workflow with custom forms, documents, and eSignatures, announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer, Aled Miles, to drive the company in its next stage of growth. Miles, the former President and CEO of Sauce Labs, Telesign, and former executive at Symantec, will be succeeding outgoing CEO, Chris Byers, one of the company’s early leaders after 13 years leading the organization.

Aled Miles was most recently the President and CEO of Sauce Labs, a global leader in continuous test and error reporting solutions. During his four year tenure, he helped guide the company through an organic and inorganic growth transformation leading to an additional investment from private equity firm TPG. Before that, he was the CEO of TeleSign, where he helped lead the company to a successful acquisition by Belgian national telecoms provider ‘Proximus’ in 2019 for over $230M. During a two-part 20-year career at security giant Symantec, he was responsible for the global $2BN Norton software business, the Northern Europe and Latin American geographies and spent four years on the executive committee based in San Francisco. He has held board positions at Whispir (ASX: WSP), Sapien Cyber, and was the executive chairman of IoTium until the sale to Nasdaq listed (VIEW). He is also the Welsh Government Envoy to the United States, appointed in September 2020.

Miles is succeeding current CEO Chris Byers, who is stepping down from his role after 13 years. “We have been incredibly fortunate to have Chris’ steady hand at the helm of Formstack over the past decade,” shared Jim Quagliaroli, Managing Partner of Silversmith Capital Partners. “He has overseen impressive growth from a small start-up to a profitable scaled business with over 20,000 customers, and is leaving the business on strong footing for continued growth.”
