Cybersecurity Luminary Gary Hayslip Joins Keyavi Data Board of Directors

Global Cyber Expert and Industry Influencer Adds Wealth of Information Technology, Security and Risk Management Experience

Keyavi Data Corp., a cybersecurity trailblazer whose breakthrough technology is transforming the very nature of the data security industry, announced today that Gary Hayslip has joined the company’s board of directors. Hayslip, a world-renowned cybersecurity expert, brings deep leadership and technology experience to Keyavi’s board, with a successful 25-year career in multiple roles as chief information security officer (CISO), chief information officer (CIO), deputy director of IT and chief privacy officer in the federal, municipal and private sectors.

He currently serves as the global CISO for SoftBank Group International and SoftBank Investment Advisers, where he orchestrates cybersecurity strategies for publicly held investment funds with over $160 billion in capital spanning more than 240 portfolio companies worldwide.

At Webroot Software, Hayslip was responsible for all information security strategies and policies, standards, procedures and internal controls – from protecting critical data resources to risk management.

As San Diego’s former CISO and deputy director, Hayslip was the driving force behind the municipality’s World Smart City Initiative—a crucible for nurturing clusters of entrepreneurial cybersecurity companies and talent.

Hayslip began his cyber career in the U.S. Navy, both as an active-duty command information security officer and as the deputy head of IT for the Pacific fleet’s Southwest Regional Maintenance Command.
