HiLabs, a leading provider of AI-powered solutions that clean and standardize complex healthcare data, announced that Chris Gengo has joined the company as Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer. In this role, Gengo will lead innovation efforts, expanding HiLabs capabilities to address health plans’ most persistent data and operational challenges.

Gengo brings more than two decades of experience across healthcare payer operations, with a career spanning Medicaid programs, national health plans, and large health systems. At HiLabs, he will work closely with product, data science, and engineering teams to translate deep payer-domain expertise into a scalable provider data management platform that improves data accuracy, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes.

Prior to joining HiLabs, Gengo held executive roles at CareSource and Baylor Scott & White Health, as well as leadership roles at WellCare (now part of Centene). His experience spans a wide range of payer functions, including provider data management, enrollment, claims oversight, fraud analysis, risk adjustment, and payment integrity. Gengo holds an MBA from Indiana University Kelley School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Florida State University.
