Veteran enterprise sales leader will drive global go-to-market strategy and accelerate next phase of growth
Appfire, a leading global provider of enterprise apps connecting the world’s top platforms, announced the appointment of Marc Gemassmer as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). Gemassmer joins Appfire with more than two decades of experience across the enterprise software and security landscape. He is a seasoned and accomplished sales leader with a consistent track record of growing and scaling businesses, most recently serving as CRO at CloudBees and previously holding CRO roles at Xactly and Vectra AI. In this new role, he will lead Appfire’s global go-to-market (GTM) strategy, bringing together sales, channel, customer success, and revenue operations to support continued growth and strengthen execution across the business.

As Chief Revenue Officer at CloudBees, an enterprise DevOps and software delivery platform, Gemassmer evolved the company’s commercial organization and strengthened its partner-driven approach. This included scaling the business to approximately $160 million in revenue and improving profitability, with the company achieving positive EBITDA and a more efficient growth model during his tenure.
Prior to CloudBees, Gemassmer held senior leadership roles at Vectra AI and Xactly, and led worldwide sales for OpenDNS through its acquisition by Cisco, where he later helped scale global cloud security sales.
