Hatic joins Zype to lead the company’s ongoing growth strategy as it caters to an increasing demand for its API-first software-as-a-service for digital infrastructure. As part of his role, Hatic will bring his executive sales leadership experience to scale Zype’s promise to deliver quality at every stage of the customer journey. To accomplish these goals, Hatic will lead the Zype Growth Team, which comprises Sales, Marketing, Support, Professional Services and Account Management. Across departments, Hatic will be key in building durable month-on-month growth and sustaining high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
“Zype is at a critical inflection point as brands understand the competitive edge that video provides,” said Hatic. “The company has an incredible growth story, and there’s a massive opportunity to build upon Zype’s successes to-date by bringing its innovative solutions to the most mission-critical customer segment in the media and entertainment market.”
Hatic has 25 years of industry experience helping companies – from fast-growing start-ups to multinational, publicly traded companies – scale. He specializes in growing high performance teams, creating supportive growth structures for early stage companies, and managing enterprise level customer relationships in the media and entertainment space.
A testament to his leadership proficiency and vision, he has led multiple sales and operations teams at diverse companies such as Avid Technology and The Vitec Group Plc, built a software development startup that successfully exited in the Broadcast Graphics market, and recently led the sale of Bexel Global Broadcast Solutions (the Services Division of Vitec Group) to NEP, the world leader in live Production Services for the television industry.
“Zype is experiencing major demand as more enterprises realize that streaming video is an urgent strategy to grow audience and revenue,” said Ed Laczynski, CEO of Zype. “Halid’s experience executing growth strategies for organizations in the media and entertainment space will enable Zype to scale strategically, sustainably, and rapidly. We’re honored to welcome Halid as the newest Zypester and have him lead and support our long-term vision.”
