GoodDay Software announced the launch of GoodDayOSTM, the first retail operating system embedded directly into Shopify, as part of its mission to reinvent ERP by making powerful enterprise-grade operating tools accessible and easier to deploy for emerging brands. Co-founded by experienced entrepreneurs and brand builders Kyle Hency, CEO; Dave Wardell, President and CPO; and John Gully, CTO, the GoodDay team has raised over $6M seed funding from FirstMark, Ridge Ventures, Flex Capital and others, and now supports Shopify brands like Poncho Outdoors, Halfdays, La Matera, Mugsy Jeans, Criquet & Recess Pickleball.

Unlike traditional ERP systems that are complex, expensive, and hard to integrate, GoodDayOSTM is simple to set-up, designed with modern, intuitive user interfaces, and developed from the ground up to help growing brands manage inventory well. The platform enables operators to open new sales channels and allocate inventory across virtual inventory locations and wholesale customers with confidence and a focus on margins and cash flow. GoodDayOSTM streamlines operations by eliminating manual spreadsheets and disconnected point solutions, empowering brands with accurate operating data to grow more efficiently.

Prior to starting GoodDay, Hency was the co-founder and long-time CEO of Chubbies Shorts, an early DTC brand innovator in Shopify’s ecosystem. Hency and Wardell are also co-founders at Loop Returns, which was initially built in 2016 to solve Chubbies returns challenges and is now the market leader in returns optimization, used by thousands of Shopify brands.
