Bonfire Unveils New Solution and Hosts Expert Panel at Annual NIGP Forum

Company to host reception celebrating the winners of the first-ever Bonfire Procurement Awards during 2022 conference

Bonfire Interactive Ltd. (“Bonfire”), a subsidiary of GTY Technology Holdings Inc. (“GTY”) and a leader in strategic sourcing and eProcurement software, announced its attendance at the 2022 NIGP Forum in Boston, where the company will unveil its new Solicitation Builder solution, celebrate the 2022 Bonfire Procurement Award recipients, and host an expert panel on public procurement innovation on August 21 at 1:30 p.m.

The 2022 NIGP Forum, held on August 20-24, 2022 in Boston, MA, is the Institute for Public Procurement’s annual conference dedicated to connecting procurement communities.

“Innovation for impact: How digital transformation enables procurement to be a superhero to your agency.”

“Our focus at the 2022 forum is on the role procurement professionals play as the unsung superheroes of their agencies and communities,” said Omar Salaymeh, CEO of Bonfire. “Through the disruption of the past several years and the recent influx of new federal funding, procurement teams have been front and center, responding to the evolving needs of their communities. Our recent State of Public Sourcing report found that there has been a 28% uptick in project volumes, on top of the added challenges of pandemic recovery efforts and a tight labor market. Procurement is saving the day, once again, and we’re proud to support these teams and celebrate their success.”

Bonfire is continuing to support procurement professionals through the development of innovative solutions such as its new Solicitation Builder, officially launching today. The product streamlines the RFP editing and approvals process with powerful tools that help organizations store, manage, and collaborate on documents and approvals—all within the Bonfire platform. The new solution comes on the heels of a recent partnership with CoProcure which gives Bonfire users access to a free marketplace of over 50,000 active cooperative contracts through Bonfire’s Community Projects module.

The combination of Bonfire’s new Solicitation Builder tool and search integration with CoProcure, the company is making it faster and easier for procurement teams to run RFPs and bring best-value outcomes to their communities. By enabling collaboration within and between government agencies, procurement professionals can actively improve cost savings and operational effectiveness.

Bonfire will also host an in-person reception to celebrate the winners of the inaugural Bonfire Procurement Awards on August 22. The awards, established in honor of the company’s tenth anniversary, celebrate procurement professionals that excel, innovate, and demonstrate excellence in the eProcurement space.

Attendees of the conference are invited to join Bonfire’s case study session titled “Innovation for impact: How digital transformation enables procurement to be a superhero to your agency.” The session, scheduled for August 21 at 1:30 p.m., will be moderated by Bonfire eProcurement expert Mitch Shim, in conversation with four expert panelists from Tacoma School District, North Carolina State University, Magnolia ISD, and Columbia County, who will share their experiences with eProcurement and how it has positively impacted their communities.
