Zylo’s platform provides one system of record for all SaaS and cloud-based software, across the enterprise, providing visibility into what software is used, how much is spent, and how to optimize SaaS and cloud-based software investments.

“Effectively managing software in the cloud requires an understanding of who is using a specific technology, when and where, to help maintain a secure environment and control costs,” said Ernesto Tey, VP Global ISV Alliances at Okta.

Ernesto added, “This integration with Zylo brings spend, usage and contract data together in a meaningful way for the enterprise – helping our joint customers better understand what apps are being used, and when, to optimize their technology use.”

Following Zylo’s January $9.3 million Series A funding, led by Bessemer Venture Partners with participation from Salesforce Ventures, the Slack Fund and the Rise of the Rest Seed fund, the Zylo platform manages 300,000 unique SaaS user licenses and nearly $2 billion of annual SaaS spend on behalf of its customers. The platform has the most comprehensive database of SaaS applications categorized by category, function, and sub-function.

Zylo CEO Eric Christopher, said, “We are thrilled to expand our partnership and value to Okta customers with the addition of Group-level reporting to empower real dedicated license and application management for the first time in the enterprise.”

For example, educational technology company Instructure uses Zylo and Okta to minimize risk and manage cost. “With Zylo,” said Instructure VP Enterprise Systems Gordon Atkin, “we identify the applications in use across the entire organization and determine which ones should have an SSO experience.”
