Kavitha Venkita Joins ACA Compliance Group to Lead its Cybersecurity and Technology Risk Team

Former Gartner/CEB global IT Practice leader joins leading governance, risk, and compliance firm as the Business Unit Lead for ACA Aponix®, ACA’s cybersecurity and technology risk team

ACA Compliance Group (ACA) announced that Kavitha Venkita has been appointed to lead ACA Aponix®, the dedicated global cybersecurity and technology risk advisory team at ACA. Kavitha will oversee all aspects of the business, including cybersecurity advisory, cyber and technology risk diligence for financial sponsors and corporates, and vendor management.

Kavitha brings over 20 years of experience in launching, managing, and growing technology and information services businesses globally, including through mergers and acquisitions. She previously held roles in strategy consulting and at Gartner/CEB, where she built and led the global IT and Government practices. Kavitha has worked with many Fortune 500 CISOs and led teams that produced best practice research on topics such as security KPIs, third-party risk management, and transforming the security function to true risk management.

ACA Aponix was founded by ACA’s Chief Innovation Officer, Raj Bakhru, and Marc Lotti and acquired by ACA in 2015. The practice has grown to become an award-winning cybersecurity advisor and M&A transaction advisor that works with hundreds of firms. The ACA Aponix management team will report directly to Kavitha. This includes Mike Pappacena, who oversees the U.S. team, James Tedman, who oversees the European team, and Chad Neale, who oversees the financial and corporate sponsor cyber and IT risk diligence team. Founding partner Marc Lotti will move into a senior advisor role and work directly with Kavitha to grow the business, support the team, and serve clients.
