Planisware, a major global software provider, has announced breakthrough results for 2021. With its Business Innovation Cloud, Planisware leads the Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) markets. In 2021 the company again surpassed revenue targets, won scores of major enterprise customers and thousands of new users globally, and successfully expanded its pace of hiring in key locations worldwide.

Planisware’s CEO and co-founder, Pierre Demonsant, reflected on the company’s quarter-century of annual, profitable growth. “And despite the growing baseline, our pace of growth continues unabated. New offices, new regions, new products and enhancements – and especially new hires – are taking us to new heights,” he said. “Our growth and global presence enable Planisware to offer best-in-class SaaS solutions to both growing and established innovators who want to harness the power of Strategic PPM.”

Revenue reached $130 million in 2021, a 20 percent growth rate year over year, and employees increased to 613 with 64 new customers across the globe including Navistar, Sonos, McGill University and more. The company expanded in the Middle East (Dubai and the Emirates); in East Asia, adding Singapore to its presence in Japan; and it moved to expanded offices in Denver, Montréal, and San Francisco.

“We keep gaining momentum in the North American market, with a whopping 47% increase growth in ARR bookings, and with the addition of 52 new hires in 2021, in a very difficult labor market,” said Antoine Villata, CEO of Planisware North America, from its new offices in San Francisco. “Our exciting market, choice of offices, compensation, recreation, and family atmosphere, all have helped us attract great new talent who will grow with the company.”

Customer Success and Product Development

Planisware invests significantly in customer service and support, with aggressive hiring and training goals for 2022. The company invests in customer experience, including via the introduction of the new, enhanced “Engage” Training Platform, and in the annual “Exchange” user conferences. The North American “Exchange22” user conference will take place in Denver, Colorado on May 17-19, 2022, and in the autumn in Europe.

In 2021 Planisware introduced significant new products and features, including PM Go!, a lightweight planning and collaboration tool for “occasional” project managers. Planisware Enterprise gained significant enhancements to its new Enterprise Architecture module. And to further support enterprise IT organizations’ application and infrastructure management, Planisware entered into a business and technology partnership with EOS Software. Investments in agile continued with support for the SAFE Scaled Agile Framework, and in features for Value Stream Management.
