Qumulo Expands Cloud Q Offering on AWS

Qumulo Launches NFSv4.1 Support Enabling Seamless Collaboration Across Any Protocol

New Configurations Enable Petabyte-Scale File Data Lakes with Reduced Cloud Infrastructure Costs

Qumulo, the breakthrough leader in simplifying enterprise file data management in hybrid-cloud environments, continues to extend its market lead by announcing expanded Cloud Q configurations available through the AWS Marketplace. The enhanced cloud file offering benefits customers in two ways. First, it lowers the cost of file data management for customers.

Second, it increases the range of performance options for customers which enables much more efficient AWS infrastructure utilization for a wider variety of unstructured file data workloads. These improvements coupled with the newly announced lower AWS infrastructure costs will deliver savings to customers of up to 70% for mission-critical file data workflows. Now, enterprise customers can use Qumulo’s more performant cloud-native file data platform to better serve the increasing performance demands of data intensive, file-based workflows.

Data is at the core of every modern business. How data is created, used, shared, protected, and stored is a crucial pillar of any data management strategy. In addition, unlimited scale, continuity, performance, and controlling costs are vital to the overall data innovation strategy. Historically, high barriers to entry, such as costly upfront trade-offs when “lifting and shifting” file-data dependent workloads to the cloud, made it difficult to take advantage of cloud innovation and operational models.

“With Qumulo, unstructured file data is now a manageable component of an overall data intelligence strategy,” said Barry Russell, senior vice president and general manager of cloud at Qumulo. “Our new configurations in the AWS Marketplace enable customers to tackle the toughest, large-scale unstructured data challenges by creating high-performance file data lakes connected to workflows, while leveraging data intelligence services such as AI and ML from AWS.”
