Travelers Offers Guidance to Help Businesses Safely Reopen

The Travelers Companies, announced it is releasing a robust suite of industry-leading risk management resources to help businesses safely reopen amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The resources will include a series of webinars, articles, podcasts and interactive tools designed to provide straightforward guidance on protecting employees, customers and property as businesses resume operations. The materials will be available on the company’s new Navigating Your Business Through COVID-19 webpage.

To help businesses safely reopen, @Travelers is offering #riskmanagement resources designed to provide straightforward guidance on protecting employees, customers and property.

“As businesses take steps to reopen their doors, they are facing a completely new environment and the uncertainty can be overwhelming,” said Marty Henry, Senior Vice President of Risk Control at Travelers. “We’re trying to make it a little easier to get through the next phase of COVID-19 by delivering focused expertise that helps prioritize what needs to be done to safely get back to business.”

As part of this effort, Travelers published a new white paper written by its chief medical director that provides considerations for managers regarding the physical and emotional health needs of employees as they return to the workplace.

The resources will include:

  • Cleaning and Disinfection Procedures During and After a Pandemic.
  • Reopening Your Shop or Restaurant as the COVID-19 Pandemic Evolves.

In addition, Travelers is offering industry-specific guidance, such as how to safely resume construction projects and manufacturing operations.

Scott Humphrey, Second Vice President of Risk Control at Travelers, added, “Resuming operations brings a new set of risks – some buildings have been vacant, equipment may not have been used for several weeks and employees continue to cope with a different way of life. Sharing our risk management insights can help company leaders create a strategic roadmap to manage these challenges.”
