Metazoa Enhances Snapshot with Salesforce Data Cloud Support, Pioneering Advanced Data Governance

The seminal software tools that defined DevOps for Salesforce are now free

Metazoa, developers of the Salesforce ecosystem’s top software toolset for org management, today announced a new DevOps solution that is being offered for free on the Salesforce AppExchange. Metazoa Cascade combines powerful DevOps tooling with Sprint and User Story management capabilities designed to enhance collaboration between Salesforce administrators and developers. A native Salesforce application, Cascade is fully integrated with Salesforce Clouds and Salesforce DX.

“The team at Metazoa created the first release management application ever offered on the Salesforce AppExchange,” said Metazoa CEO Jennifer Mercer. “Our history within the ecosystems goes back to its founding, so we see ourselves as lifelong partners within the Salesforce community. That’s why we want to give back by offering our best-in-class development tools for free, via Cascade.”

Cascade enables developers to deploy metadata assets between any Salesforce org, Git repository or local project with ease. Salesforce DX support includes the ability to push and pull metadata changes from scratch orgs. Cascade even provides unique Salesforce-aware comparison reports. Unlike other solutions that can take months to configure, Cascade works instantly with any org, and does not require a package install.

Cascade also helps manage collaborative projects. Managers can create Sprints and assign User Stories to individual developers and administrators. These individual contributors can add metadata assets and deployment tasks to their User Stories. Advanced features include Kanban Boards, Gantt Charts, Burndown Graphs and Overlap Awareness. In an industry first, Cascade can automatically merge User Stories for deployment without requiring manual editing of XML documents in Git, which can be cumbersome and error-prone.

All of Cascade’s benefits result in improved quality and productivity, faster releases and reduced cost of org ownership. Other apps developed by Metazoa available on the Salesforce AppExchange include its Salesforce org management toolset Metazoa Snapshot, and Metazoa Monarch, a relational data migration tool. In addition to Cascade, Metazoa is offering Monarch and its specialized field and picklist usage reports, profiles & permission sets reports and data dictionary reports for free as well.

Metazoa also offers turn-key services for Salesforce orgs with complex needs. Backed by Metazoa Snapshot, Metazoa’s services are a project-based offering created for enterprise-scale organizations to help with all aspects of Salesforce org clones, splits, merges and technical debt removal. Those that require hands-on support can rely on Metazoa Services. Metazoa also offers a certification program for those that don’t need specialized help but want to expand their capabilities within Snapshot.

Metazoa’s vast experience in the field ensures that organizations utilizing its tools and services can better manage their Salesforce orgs, including an ability to manage the change and release process, migrate large datasets between orgs, visualize and reduce org complexity, improve security and compliance, and lower the total cost of org management. Created in 2006, Metazoa Snapshot was the first org management solution designed specifically for Salesforce, and was one of the first App’s offered on the Salesforce AppExchange. Over the years, Metazoa Snapshot has grown into the industry’s most comprehensive toolset for org management.
