Avetta is Laurie Knape Named 2021 Women in Supply Chain Award Winner

Avetta Receives International Recognition for “Brilliant” Approach to Reduce Supply Chain Risk

The award, given by Supply & Demand Chain Executive, recognizes outstanding female executives whose accomplishments leverage supply chains for competitive advantage.

Avetta is Laurie Knape, HSE Professional – Regulatory and Industry Relations, was named a 2021 Women in Supply Chain Award Winner by Supply & Demand Chain Executive. The Women in Supply Chain award honors female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network.

Knape helps Avetta clients and suppliers worldwide with supply chain risk management, and enterprise and workplace safety through contractor management and prequalification using Avetta Connect™ software. Knape oversees regulatory compliance for the Avetta Connect™ program—directly impacting Avetta customers’ safety results. Her efforts helped reduce safety incidents and lost workdays of Avetta’s clients and suppliers by 40% to 70% compared to industry averages.

Knape helped launch Avetta’s Safety Quizzes—tools to gamify and compare safety scores against peers within industries and companies. The quizzes are based on safety standards for anything from fire hazards to electrical hazards and more. Knape spearheaded the collection of a database of 6,000 questions, which will be used throughout the coming months to help educate professionals on safety regulations.

This year’s list includes individuals from software and service providers, consultancies and academia, trucking and transportation firms, professional development agencies, sourcing and procurement divisions and more. All winners have helped supply chain clients and the supply chain community prepare to meet many of today’s—and tomorrow’s—challenges.
