Unlike conventional security tools that take singular views of risk, Code42’s solution detects Insider Risk Indicators across files, vectors, and users to speed insider threat response. Code42 evaluates and protects data from risk created by employee and contractor departures and actions, strengthens litigation against data theft and secures remote and collaborative work for employees and contractors.
“The Code42 solution surfaces the top indicators of insider risk and accelerates an organization’s ability to detect and respond to data exposure events,” said Joe Payne, Code42’s president and CEO. “Achieving FedRAMP authorization further validates the value of a solution that delivers a new approach to data protection.”

At a time when over two-thirds of data breaches involve an insider, Code42’s solution was built to mitigate exposure from data exfiltration and directly address the gaps in conventional security solutions. Federal government agencies looking for detailed security intelligence about on and off-network file movements can use the Code42 solution to help identify and act on the greatest indicators of risk to their data.
A U.S. government-wide program, FedRAMP provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services to ensure all federal data is secure in cloud environments. In order to receive FedRAMP authorization, Code42’s offering was evaluated against the FedRAMP “Moderate impact” baseline of control requirements.
