Libro Appoints Lorne Schwartz to President
Libro, an industry leader in online reservation management and diner engagement technologies, is pleased to announce Lorne Schwartz has joined the company’s leadership team and will serve as President, effective immediately.

Mr. Schwartz most recently served as President and CEO of DataCandy, an award-winning gift card and loyalty solution. Under his leadership, the company’s platform was adopted by restaurants and retailers across North America and recognized by Forrester as a leader in customer engagement. DataCandy was acquired by Paystone, a leading payment processing company, in 2019. Prior to his six-year tenure at DataCandy, Mr. Schwartz held the position of President and CEO at TradeInsight, which tripled its client roster and was named one of Montreal’s Top 20 Employers.

Between 2004 and 2008, Mr. Schwartz launched and sold e-Finitive Systems, a developer of document imaging solutions. He then served as the company’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing and doubled the company’s revenue in 18 months. At the age of 25, Mr. Schwartz founded Momentum Business Systems, which under his leadership became one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers and a dominant travel expense management software company in North America.
“The co-founders have well-positioned the company with both a talented staff and an incredible list of clients. I’m looking forward to working on product strategies that will create meaningful ways for restaurants to attract new customers, grow their business, and interact with guests well after they’ve left the restaurant,” added Schwartz.
