Appfire Names Bob Nicholson President and Chief Operating Officer

Appfire, a leading provider of apps for software development teams, today announced the appointment of Bob Nicholson as President and Chief Operating Officer. Nicholson has more than twenty years of strategy, finance, operations, and M&A experience working with high growth technology companies.

In his capacity as President and COO, Nicholson will report to Randall Ward, co-founder and CEO, and will have direct oversight of global operations, human resources and talent, marketing, and business systems.

Nicholson has been involved in high growth companies as an investor, advisor, board member, and founder. He spent over a decade at Spectrum Equity, where he was a Managing Director and General Partner. During this time, he partnered with founders and their management teams to grow and transform companies that collectively raised over $2 billion in equity and debt, including two successful IPOs. He has also been an entrepreneur, building an alternative asset manager from “white board” to a strategic deal with BNY Mellon. Most recently, he has been active as an early and growth stage investor in software, fintech, and tech-enabled services companies and is an advisor to the founding team at Hometap, a CB Insights Fintech 250 member.
