Jeremy Schiff, CEO at Salesbot chats about the growing benefits of AI powered sales enablement platforms in this SalesTechStar interview:
___________
Tell us about your journey in the tech market and a little about Salesbot.io.
My journey in tech began with a strong foundation in machine learning, as I completed both a BS and Ph.D. in Robotics, effectively applied Machine Learning, from UC Berkeley. In grad school, I co-founded FotoFlexer, an online photo editor that powered platforms like PhotoBucket and MySpace, reaching 50 million users monthly. This experience showed me the impact of scalable, user-focused technology. Later, as the first executive hire at Ness Computing, I helped develop a personalized restaurant recommendation app that was ultimately acquired by OpenTable. My work there focused on advancing different kinds of AI in search and personalization.
At OpenTable, I was responsible for building out the Data Science team, which was difficult to hire for, so I learned a lot about how to scale recruiting. After leaving OpenTable, I reflected on how immature the tools were for hiring top people for hard to fill roles, so In 2017, I founded RecruitBot to leverage machine learning in recruiting. As RecruitBot evolved, we saw a similar demand for AI-driven innovation in sales. This led to the creation of Salesbot.io, a tool purpose-built to enhance lead sourcing and engagement for sales professionals. Salesbot.io is designed to transform the sales process through AI and a vast contact database of 655 million leads, allowing sales teams to identify and connect with high-potential prospects efficiently.
How is AI-powered sales enablement fast turning into the next big thing for SalesTech stacks and sellers?
AI-powered sales enablement is transforming the landscape by adding precision, intelligence, and usability to the sales process. Unlike traditional tools that often require toggling through countless search fields or manual data entry, AI can simplify workflows, making tools far more intuitive and user-friendly. For example, Salesbot allows users to convert a natural language description of their Ideal Customer Profile into a targeted lead list—eliminating the need to manage 40 different search filters.
This intuitive approach, combined with AI’s ability to deliver real-time insights into lead quality, outreach timing, and messaging personalization, allows sales teams to move beyond repetitive tasks and focus on building meaningful relationships. AI’s power to analyze vast datasets and provide targeted recommendations enables sales teams to act faster and more effectively, making it an indispensable part of today’s SalesTech stack.

What about today’s state of SalesTech is most exciting to you, and which SalesTech platforms from around the world have piqued your interest recently and why?
The most exciting part of today’s SalesTech landscape is how AI is transforming buyer engagement insights and optimizing outreach strategies. Tools like Gong and Chorus.ai are pioneering in conversation intelligence, enabling teams to analyze sales calls and interactions to boost effectiveness, while HubSpot’s all-in-one CRM platform makes relationship management and pipeline tracking accessible to teams of all sizes. Another standout is Clari, which uses AI to deliver revenue intelligence, empowering sales teams with more accurate forecasting and insights for deeper engagement.
Salesbot.io brings similar transformative power to sales teams through our unique combination of a massive, meticulously verified dataset and advanced AI capabilities.
What thoughts do you have surrounding the future of Sales and SalesTech?
The future of sales will center around personalized, meaningful engagement. As SalesTech evolves, it will focus more on helping salespeople connect on a human level, rather than merely automating tasks. While AI will continue to enhance prospecting and data analysis, the best salespeople will combine these insights with empathy and personal connection. I envision a future where SalesTech will offer predictive capabilities, showing sales teams not only the best leads to pursue but also the most effective approaches for each one. Ultimately, AI will be an enabler, enhancing the human touch that remains at the core of successful sales.
