The Revenue Execution Startup Bolsters Executive Team with Key Hires from Pendo, Salesforce, and MindTickle to Help Meet Growing Product Demand

SetSail, the Revenue Execution platform for sales, has named Dean Patton as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). Patton’s hiring comes amid a period of record growth for the company as it aims to disrupt enterprise sales by reinventing how sales reps are motivated and rewarded. “It’s been said that ‘small wins beget big rewards’ and that couldn’t be more true than with the SetSail platform. Supported by such a powerful AI platform and team, SetSail is the future of how we run sales. I am incredibly excited to join the team in this vision.”

“We have experienced tremendous growth in recent months as more and more enterprises saw the need in having an x-ray view of their sales process and what it takes to drive revenue execution – all the way from unifying sales data to motivating rep actions,” said Haggai Levi, SetSail CEO. “Dean’s deep experience in enterprise sales combined with his passion for building successful sales teams, makes him the perfect fit to help lead SetSail into our next phase of growth.”

A 20-year sales veteran, Patton has built high-performing sales teams at some of the industry’s most successful software companies including BEA, Sun Microsystems, Rally, Cloudera and Pendo. He most recently served as SVP of Americas Sales at Pendo, a product experience platform and SetSail customer, helping the company achieve numerous revenue milestones and drive record-setting growth. While at Pendo, Patton also personally experienced how the SetSail platform can transform the sales process and help teams close deals faster – an experience that prompted his transition to SetSail and appealed to his entrepreneurial nature.

“From my first introduction to SetSail, I recognized the benefit of adapting the sales process around buying signals to systematically address the challenge of quota attainment and ramp time,” said Patton. “It’s been said that ‘small wins beget big rewards’ and that couldn’t be more true than with the SetSail platform. Supported by such a powerful AI platform and team, SetSail is the future of how we run sales. I am incredibly excited to join the team in this vision.”

In addition to Patton, SetSail also recently named Aygun Suleymanova as Vice President, Marketing, and Paulette Greene as Head of Customer Success. Suleymanova joined SetSail from Salesforce, where she served as Sr. Director, Global Head of AI Product Marketing, and led the Einstein team in charge of marketing AI in Salesforce. Greene is a 30-year customer success and sales enablement veteran, and held senior leadership roles at MindTickle and Qstream.

With three new executives on the SetSail leadership team and a steady growth trajectory ahead, SetSail CEO Haggai Levi is optimistic about meeting the increasing demand of sales teams who are desperate to reinvigorate their sales teams and close big deals faster.

“The pandemic has undoubtedly changed how we work and how we sell. As enterprises move to adapt to the new normal, they will need a partner like SetSail to provide them with the technology they need to succeed,” said Levi. “We have some significant opportunities ahead of us and I am confident we have the team in place to capitalize on them all.”
