Unbabel, the AI-powered, human-refined translation platform that enables multilingual customer service at scale, today announced the appointment of Sophie Vu to the role of chief marketing officer (CMO) based in the company’s San Francisco headquarters. As CMO, Vu leads the strategic direction of marketing and is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of strategic go-to-market efforts to guide the company’s expanding international presence in existing and future markets.

Most recently, Vu was CMO of Vibes, where she partnered with top brands, enabling marketers to unlock new revenue with the technology and guidance needed for mobile marketing success. Previously, Vu was vice president, marketing of Sparkcentral, a global SaaS Digital Customer Service platform, and vice president of global marketing of Kony (acquired by Temenos), a leading enterprise mobile application platform provider.
Vu holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and International Business from the Lam Family College of Business at San Francisco State University and an MBA in Marketing and Strategic Management from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
