Virtru Expands Partnership with Google Cloud After Surpassing 3,500 Joint Customers

Virtru adds advanced data protection, key management and data location to secure digital transformation and accelerate Google Cloud adoption

Virtru, a global leader in data protection and privacy, announced the expansion of its longstanding partnership with Google Cloud to incorporate Virtru’s Trusted Data Platform into additional Google Workspace and Google Cloud applications and services. The combination will provide an added layer of verifiable trust, granular data control and privacy assurance for data shared, stored and analyzed in Google Cloud and Google Workspace, and, importantly, extending these control when data is shared outside the Google ecosystem.

In 2016, Virtru was chosen as a recommended encryption provider for G Suite, now known as Google Workspace, in what has been a hugely successful partnership that currently boasts more than 3,500 shared customers with usage more than doubling since the beginning of the pandemic. This expanded partnership will accelerate Virtru integrations into Google Cloud services and deepen data control and sovereignty capabilities in Google Workspace.
