In Kadous’ time at Google, he launched major projects including Android location, adding indoors to Google Maps, and helping Google build its own maps. At Uber, he led location, maps, and computer vision teams, defined AI strategy, and worked with the CTO to evolve engineering culture and drive the next generation of Uber’s engineering architecture.

“I am joining Anyscale because they’re on an ambitious mission to make distributed computing simple and flexible,” said Kadous. “Almost every project I’ve worked on has required dealing with the complexities of distributed computing. We’d spend 30% of the time developing code and 70% of the time parallelizing it to work at scale. I love the company’s ambition in tackling this problem that has been a thorn in my professional side for two decades. There are reasons to be confident. Anyscale’s library, Ray, has demonstrated that it can be done. I’ve experienced it myself and so have big companies like JP Morgan and Ant Group.”
