With Star Micronics Cloud Services, the Device Manager API can connect to Star’s printers and attached peripherals, enabling application developers to access the printed data for analysis or loyalty tracking. Features such as remote management and configuration allow developers to adjust or update printer settings and remotely monitor the status of any Star device from the cloud without needing to be on site. Additionally, the Star Document Markup Designer is available as an intuitive design tool to create and customize receipts, tickets, and labels. Once it is designed, the code of the customized document can be copied and pasted to the developer code—an excellent way to visualize your receipt, ticket, or label while building it.

For retailers and business owners, services such as device management for printers, Digital Journal, and PromoPRNT are available for any POS application. Star offers an easy-to-use portal where users can monitor the real-time status of all installed Star printers. Also, a Digital Journal service was added to view stored electronic copies of all printed receipts and keep track of how many were printed each day. Finally, Star’s popular service, PromoPRNT, is available from the same user portal to allow retailers to add printed promotions to their receipts—excellent for coupons, reminders, and general announcements. PromoPRNT can provide targeted campaigns by defining each promotion by station, day, and time. There is also no limit to the number of promotions that can be designed and used.

Star Micronics Cloud Services remains free to use. Using Star’s Quick Setup Utility App, it’s easy to register and connect your Star printers. Cloud Services supports the mC-Print2, mC-Print3, and TSP100IV series printers. Visit StarMicronicsCloud.com to get started.
