New Meetings Technology Event Launching at Phocuswright

Northstar Meetings Group announced today the launch of MeetingsTech@Phocuswright, to be held Nov. 11-12, 2018, at the JW Marriott L.A. Live, in conjunction with The Phocuswright Conference, the world’s leading travel technology event.

MeetingsTech@Phocuswright will launch in partnership with the DAHLIA+ Agency, led by tech evangelist Dahlia El Gazzar. Tapping into the extensive travel technology ecosystem at the Phocuswright Conference, the event’s program is case-study oriented, bringing buyers and sellers of meetings technology together to learn about the latest trends, demonstrate the real-world impact of their applications and network with travel technology analysts and investors.

“Meetings technology has become a very active travel technology market segment,” said David Blansfield, executive vice president, Northstar Meetings Group. “As the big technology players build scale, new application providers are coming into the market. On the buy-side, event organizers are seeking operating efficiencies while event attendees seek better experiences. How can new technology serve everyone’s best interests? MeetingsTech@Phocuswright will feature the providers who are doing that best.”

“It’s nearly impossible for planners and organizers to keep up with all of the new products and services introduced, seemingly on a daily basis,” said El Gazzar. “We’ve developed a conference program that will simultaneously showcase new meetings and events technologies while providing organizers with a playbook to ease purchase, integration and execution. Our goal is to close the gap on new event tech ideas — and more importantly, educate organizers on how to be thinking ahead of their stakeholders with regard to creating better experiences for both their external and internal audiences.”

MeetingsTech@Phocuswright provides meetings and events technology providers with a matchless opportunity to amplify their brand, while fostering and furthering meaningful connections with their key buyer target audience, new prospects and potential investors. Each participating company will be provided the opportunity to demonstrate their utility with a product case-study presentation as well as application demo kiosk, and qualified buyers will be fully hosted. Technology providers and buyers interested in participating can learn more here, or contact Dahlia El Gazzar or Shalise DeMott for more information.
