Twilio, the leading cloud communications platform, announced that Christy Lake is joining the company as its Chief People Officer. Lake will be responsible for leading Twilio’s global People team, driving the company’s talent development and acquisition strategy and fostering belonging, diversity and inclusion across Twilio. She will report directly to Twilio’s co-founder and chief executive officer, Jeff Lawson.

Most recently, Lake was the Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer at Box, where she evolved the People function by investing in diversity and inclusion. Having held human resources leadership positions at Medallia, HP Software, and The Home Depot, Lake brings deep expertise in culture development, talent strategy, and learning and development. She is also an advisor to PeopleTechPartners and sits on the board of Petco.
