The company received top marks in the Human Rights Campaign’s Annual Assessment of LGBTQ+ Workplace Equality
NTT DATA Services, a digital business and IT services leader, announced it has received a 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) 2022 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) and was named a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality. The HRC publishes the CEI annually as a national benchmarking tool on corporate policies, practices and benefits pertinent to the LGBTQ+ community.

NTT DATA’s policies and practices align with the four pillars established by HRC as part of their rating criteria:
- Non-discrimination policies across business entities
- Equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families
- Supporting an inclusive culture
- Corporate social responsibility
“As part of creating an inclusive culture, we’ve established seven Employee Resource Groups including PRIDE, which provides a space for LGBTQ+ employees and allies to promote equality through education, advocacy, empowerment and representation,” said Terri Hatcher, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer for NTT DATA Services. “We will continue to create programs, policies and education that promote a supportive culture for all of our colleagues so everyone can be their authentic selves at work.”

As a sign of substantive progress toward LGBTQ+ equality, NTT DATA was recognized as a Gold Award recipient (top level) in the Pride Index 2020, which rates Japanese company initiatives related to the LGBTQ+ community.
