Industry veterans Tim Angelos and Troy Grubbs to drive strategy amid increasing demand for company’s innovative data solutions
Hitachi Vantara Federal, a leader in data-driven solutions and services for the Federal Government, announced the addition of Tim Angelos and Troy Grubbs to the company as Sales Directors. Angelos and Grubbs will focus on accelerating visibility of the company’s market-leading technologies and solutions in support of critical federal IT missions, in addition to further developing and strengthening relationships with new and existing customers and partners in the public sector.
“Tim and Troy will be instrumental in helping customers and partners navigate and develop appropriate solutions for increasingly complex data environments,” said Jimmie Adkins, VP Sales of Hitachi Vantara Federal. “With decades of experience in sales, business development and operations, theirs is exactly the dynamic needed to identify new opportunities, generate growth, and tackle the emerging needs and challenges of our end-users.”

Both Angelos and Grubbs expressed enthusiasm at joining Hitachi Vantara Federal. Mr. Angelos joins Hitachi Vantara Federal from enterprise application software company MicroFocus, where he managed sales across multiple solutions portfolios for the United States Department of Defense (DoD), including U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and Combatant Commands (COCOM). He has more than 25 years’ experience in the hardware, software, and security industries having successfully served in previous positions at Hewlett Packard/Fortify, Loudcloud, and Nortel, among others. In his latest role, he will lead a team in creating and delivering data oriented solutions that speed digital transformation efforts for customers across multiple agencies including DoD, the Intelligence Community (IC), and The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Mr. Angelos completed a bachelor’s degree in economics from Maryland’s St. Mary’s College in addition to undergraduate studies at England’s University of Oxford.

With more than 20 years of data storage experience in federal sales, Mr. Grubbs has driven top-line results at multiple companies, including Hewlett Packard Enterprise, NetApp, Inc., and most recently application services and delivery company F5 Networks, where he was responsible for developing new business opportunities to drive net-new incremental revenue with systems integrators and channel partnerships. He attended George Mason University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology.
