Slingshot, the customer engagement platform for home services providers, announced it has expanded its executive leadership team with the appointments of Jon Soldan as President and Chief Operating Officer and Steve Books as the company’s Chief Technology Officer. Slingshot provides home services providers, such as pest control and lawncare companies, with a turnkey, 24/7 omni-channel call center solution that engages leads, increases close rates, and improves overall customer experience. Soldan and Books will drive Slingshot’s next phase of growth after a record 2019 in which the company grew revenue by 54%, increased headcount to more than 250 employees, and closed a $2.4M seed round led by RET Ventures.

Soldan joins Slingshot from Oracle, where he served as Group Vice President, North America Cloud Application Delivery. In this role, Soldan oversaw consulting delivery and capability development across ERP and HCM while leading a global team of more than 800 to deliver world-class customer experiences in the cloud. Prior to that position, he was Executive Vice President of Operations at HealthEquity and was also Chief Operating Officer at Entrata.

Books brings over fifteen years of software engineering and management experience to the company and will deliver senior leadership to Slingshot’s rapidly-growing developer team. Previously, Books co-founded and served as CTO for Capshare, a web-based equity and cap table management solution for entrepreneurs, investors, board members, lawyers, and others, that was acquired by Morgan Stanley. He also co-founded TrackMyDrive, a mobile and web-based software solution for tracking business mileage.
