Privacy regulations like GDPR, CCPA and LGPD are centered on the notion that individuals retain rights to their data. These data rights span rights to access, delete, and correct data and represent how organizations provide data transparency to their employees and consumers.

While individual data rights represent the centerpiece of the new privacy regulations the implementation of these data rights inside the enterprise remain nascent. This new research from BigID and IAPP is the first survey of enterprise privacy professionals to provide a survey of the state of play for data rights around the globe.

- Half of the respondents report honoring data access requests from anyone globally
- Companies reported that access and deletion are the most common data requests
- Half of the corporations indicated data discovery is the top future investment area
