ISO 27001 is an international standard outlining best practices for an information security management system (ISMS).   ISMS is a set of policies and procedures to systematically manage sensitive data and applies the following principles to manage and protect business-critical information security:

  • Confidentiality – Ensures information is accessible only to those authorized to have access.
  • Integrity– Safeguards the accuracy and completeness of information and processing methods.
  • Availability– Ensures authorized users can access data and associated assets when required.

This certification, along with the previously announced SOC 2 Type 2 certification, confirms AQuity’s Information Security Management System meets or exceeds industry best practices and that security controls are strictly adhered to in the delivery of all production services and across all locations where AQuity operates in the U.S., India, Canada, and Australia.

“Our ISO 27001certification further validates AQuity’s strong security posture and commitment to safeguarding client data,” said Marty Serro, CIO/CSO for AQuity.  “Earning this certification for all our offices reflects our assurance to all customers around the world that we are devoted to protecting them against the ever-evolving security landscape as virtualized services become the new norm.”

“As COVID accelerated the paradigm shift to virtualized service delivery in the clinical documentation space, we at AQuity always ensure client data protection as our top priority,” added Kashyap Joshi, AQuity’s CEO.  “Especially in such challenging times, our clients can rest easy knowing we are prepared to respond to evolving security threats to ensure business continuity for all services we deliver.”
