Engineering leader, Joe Fizor, to head team of solution experts, further expanding partner offerings and support.
TBI, the nation’s leading technology services distributor, announces the promotion of Joe Fizor from Solutions Engineer Manager to Director of Solutions Engineering. In this new role, Fizor will lead TBI’s team of solution architects and subject matter experts, further supporting the Channel partner community.

Fizor started at TBI in 2016, working as a Solution Engineer, Lead Solution Engineer and Solution Engineer Manager. As TBI’s Solution Engineer Manager, Fizor focused on providing agnostic technical support to TBI’s partner base, in addition to guiding the internal engineering and sales teams on emerging technology solutions. Throughout his time at TBI, Fizor has continually stood out as a high achiever and a leader, attaining President’s Club status in 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2021, in addition to winning Employee of the Year in 2020.
Prior to joining TBI, Fizor spent many years working in the VAR space, focusing heavily on providing customer sales support for Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Juniper, HPE and Aruba for Enterprise Network Infrastructure. Continuing to expand his knowledge in technological solutions, Fizor has gained a variety of certifications over the years including Cisco – CCNA, CCDA and CMNA, Fortinet – NSE, Palo Alto – PSE, Veeam – VMSP and VMTSP, and RingCentral – RCCE, RCCP, RCSP and Ignite.
In his new role as Director of Solutions Engineering, Fizor will continue to lead and expand TBI’s team of engineering experts, prepping them with high-quality resources to advance their growth in the industry. Through this leadership and additional training, TBI partners will have access to expert advice from the team and be provided with the confidence to expand their existing solution offerings with their customers.

Fizor currently resides in the suburbs of Chicago with his wife, Sam, and two daughters, Elliot and Felicity. In his free time, he enjoys doing activities with his family. whether playing video games, running errands or cruising around in the car, Fizor’s family continues to keep him on his toes every day.
